This is a collection of bright, light reds with a touch of tartness. They're a great slightly chilled and are easy to pair with just about anything including virtual happy hours with friends!
Broc Love Red
This red blend of Carignan, Valdigué and Syrah is from winemaker Chris Brockway of Berkeley-based Broc Cellars. It's one of our favorite, crowd-pleasing light reds with notes of strawberry, sour cherry, earth and cracked pepper. Try it with grilled pork chops, skirt steak, grilled portobello mushrooms.
Farmlands Pinot Noir
This is a fresh and vibrant Pinot Noir made from biodynamically grown estate fruit in Willamette Valley, OR. With generous notes of red cherries, pomegranate, lavender and dried herbs this Pinot strikes the perfect balance of juicy New World fruit with Old World minerality. Delicious with cedar plank salmon and duck with cherries.
Folk Machine Valdiguié
Folk Machine winemaker Kenny Likitprakong consistently creates an expression of the Valdiguié grape with the brightness of Gamay and depth of Cru Beaujolais. With notes of high-toned red fruit, cranberry and raspberry balanced by rounder blueberry and violet tones this pairs beautifully with rotisserie chicken, slow roasted pork, chevre. Drink slightly chilled.
Land of Saints Pinot Noir
Three winemakers, Jason Osborne, Angela Osborne and Manuel Cuevas are united by their love for California, making wines that symbolize their cultures and give a sense of place. This Pinot Noir is elegant and ethereal on the palate with notes of red cherry, pomegranate and a touch of baking spice. Pair is with duck confit, mushroom risotto, lamb popsicles.
