Grillin' & Chillin' Reds We've curated some of our favorite red wines for summer BBQ's! These bold reds are food friendly crowd-pleasers that you'll be thrilled to open any night of the week.
Broc Nero d'Avola This vibrant expression of Nero d'Avola comes from winemaker Chris Brockway of Berkeley based Broc Cellars is the perfect summer red. Packed with bright, intense fruit; plum and pepper on the nose. 10% of the grapes are fermented in terracotta vessels for added complexity. Pairs well with pasta dishes, gamey meats (as well as board games) and barbecue with friends.
Ultraviolet Cabernet Sauvignon Ultraviolet is Samantha Sheehan’s second label under which she makes elegant Cabernet Sauvignon in an artisanal manner. We love this balanced Cabernet that takes cues from its Old World counterpart with brisk acidity and grounding notes of earth and minerality. The tannins are silky and round while the nose is punctuated with lovely notes of blackberry, violet and a touch of baking spice.
INIZI Hi- Jump Red Blend A gulpable blend of Montepulciano, Dolcetto, Barbera, Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese from Mendocino, CA that is approachable, rich, and round. It showcases the best of each contributing variety with intense tannin from the Sangiovese, the soft structures of Montepulciano and Dolcetto and the incredible depth and power of Cabernet Sauvignon. Notes of sour cherry, juicy pomegranate, rose petal, dried tobacco. Try it with tomato forward dishes, hanger steak, lamb kabobs and grilled sweet potatoes with cherry tomato salsa
