Why we love it:
Who: Savage Grace Wines was established in 2011 by owner-winemaker Michael Savage. The “Savage” is an homage to the resiliency of the grape vines and the “Grace” is his wife’s name and symbolizes the balance and elegance he hopes to achieve with his wines. His vision is to make Old World style lower-alcohol, balanced, and expressive wines.
What/How:This Grüner Veltliner is made from grapes grown at Underwood Mountain Vineyards, located alongside the Columbia River Gorge in WA. The grapes were given varying lengths of skin-contact ranging from 0 to 3 days before pressed to enhance complexity.
