Maker: Brea Wine Co.
Grape: Pinot Noir
Origin: Sumida Sisters and La Estancia Vineyards, Santa Lucia Highlands, California
Farming Practices: Biodynamic
Why we love it:
Who: Brea is the resulting collaboration between Chris Brockway (Broc Cellars) and Tim Elenteny (Elenteny Imports) to create terroir driven, sustainably farmed examples of classic California varieties.
What/How: The Sumida Sister and La Estancia Vineyards are enriched with many of Rudolph Steiner’s farming principles to enliven the soil and bring the grapes to life.
Tasting Notes: Bing cherry, raspberries and dried herbs
Pairs With: This is one of our favorite universal pairings and a wine that is truly enhanced with food. Think cedar planked salmon, rotisserie chicken and grilled veggies!
